HOW TO ELOPE IN ZION NATIONAL PARK
Photos by Mather Photo and Film

STEP ONE: DECIDE TO ELOPE
As simple as that sounds - take the plunge! Decide what you envision your day to look like, who is involved, + where! This can be the funnest part. Dream big and create a list of your wedding must-haves! See if the location fulfills them + celebrate!

STEP TWO: HIRE A PHOTO + VIDEO TEAM
We may be biased, but there’s nothing better than a team who can plan your elopement, find custom vendors, + capture your day in a beautiful, professional way.
Together we create our client’s vision. Whether that is cliffside overlooking Zion National Park or an Alaskan sea adventure - we will be guide you through the entire process!
We travel globally + are prepared to do so!

STEP THREE: PERMITS + LEAVE NO TRACE
We are huge advocates of Leaving No Trace. Especially when you’re planning an elopement or wedding in a natural area. We pack out everything we pack in + ensure that we have the correct permitting.
Every park and nature reserve has different rules, some you simply need an entrance fee and others require a reservation + lofty fee to have any sort of ceremony there
We will help you confidently reserve your dream spot while ensuring the natural environment remains intact. When it comes to Zion National Park they have all of their elopement permit information on their site! Fees are typically $100 and takes about 2-3 weeks to be approved!

STEP FOUR: BUDGET
When you’re dealing with any large sum of money, it’s important to delegate what money belongs where. How much you will need to spend on travel, vendors, permits, + more. It’s better to be informed! We will help you find the vendors you need in a budget that suits you!
Setting a budget will allow you to be stress free while planning as well!

STEP FIVE: LEGALITY
What does the state or nation require that you are eloping in? Do you need a liscences, witnesses, etc? Do you need to update your passports or apply for a visa?
Different places require different things. For example; your dogs can be your witnesses in Colorado. For Zion, they require an officiant and two witnesses! (Which, can be us!)

STEP SIX: BOOK YOUR TRIP
Step One: Use a private browser so that prices aren’t raised on you.
Step Two: When paying for flights + booking your hotels, do it on a weekday! It is proven that flights are cheaper when paid for on a Tuesday!
Step Three: Do it in advance. To ensure nothing books out, it is essential that you plan ahead and book your amenities sooner than later
Step Four: Use discount travel apps to save $$! Examples: Hopper, Booking .com, KAYAK, Turo, Etc!

STEP SEVEN: HAVE FUN
Just because you are eloping doesn’t mean this can’t be your dream day. Buy your dream dress, invite who you want, do yoga in the morning, start gaze, drink + fall so deeply in love!
We can’t wait to be apart of your story + grand adventure.
